Yeah great so finally yamaha came up with something good…
My friend bought this bike recently and so i got a chance to have my hands on this monster. It’s looks are pretty sexy and sharp just like
elder bro YZF R1 ,Comfort level is’nt that high but not bad also after all, it’s all sporty theme would’nt let you feel driving a commuter anymore.
Handling does feel slight weak in traffic if compared to other’s in this segment, the handle struggles with fairing but on a free or less dense road you’ll surey feel like a racer. So, it’s cool that india is getting racy .(hope the roads understand)
Now coming to it’s looks it seems that it’s a carbon copy of R1 but indeed with many visible changes the bike being sporty lacks height and so obesity attacked dudes may not enjoy the ride much and may get a back ache as return gift, adding in style and performance is the presence of monoshocker which are essential for any racing bike, till now only Unicorn showed up with this.

Now that was some cool facts and advantages of this hunky bike ….but like always it has it’s drawbacks.
Company claims a mileage of about 45 to 50 kmpl…???///??
WHAT ???
Let’s see again BHP above 17 and cubic capacity = 150
…still a 45 kmpl mileage is more than one can lie about, and if somehow it managed to do so then it wont be a racing stuff anymore.( you won’t be driving at 30 kmph in 6th gear ….!!..will you ??
Moreover despite of it’s stunning looks there is one thing that pinches is it’s ugly back, the 17 inch slick tyre looks like JUGAAD in this techno crap, my friend is planning to go for a broader tyre ‘coz this one is embarrasing.
Also the cheap looking alloys make’s the tyres look silly.
Lastly at over one lakh INR it is TOO costly for many bike lover’s.(rs .1,06,000 approx.)
Conclusion, this bike is indeed one of it’s class in india till now, it’s looks are hot and so is its speed.
The price did’nt go wrong coz Yzf R15 deserves it.
So, the motorcycle is pretty cool, handling and comfort level is good, and if u managed 2 ride at an average speed then this monster is sure to give good mileage.
More about this chic soon
keep chekin 4 more…
Luv U

I dont think yamaha is in mood rightnow 2 launch YzF under a lac.
But it has plans 2 launch gladiator 165cc which is going to be cheaper.
Hello, I am a Tech Specialist in a MNC in Noida and a great byke lover, I am riding since the age of 9 and I am 29 today.
I have completed 4000 Kms on R15 and using it since a month.
I totally agree that when I first made up my mind to go for it, I thought it must be a something more powerful (when it comes to pickup).
But I would really say that its far more better than any other Indian Bike in the market.
Having used both Karizma and Pulsar .
And I will like to share my outlook;
1. I have travelled straight from Lucknow to Delhi having only two stays in between thats about 200 kms of non stop riding at a speed of 75-80 on avg. (coz of its DIasil cylinder and Forged piston, cilinder has 20% silicon which keeps it cooler than rest of the bykes.)
I dont think any other Indian Byke can do that, it will burn out and the clutch plates will cease.
2. It has given me amileage of 45 km/lt on highways and 38-40 kms/lts in City.I n which I have operated it around to 135 km/hr at times.Which means Its best in its class.
2. It has an awesome grip on roads, its not important for a bike that it goes past 130-140 what is important its that how much safer it is to go to that speed. Toy can really feel safe at speeds of 120, the byke will not skid when applying brakes as that speed.
Some people say that it has narow tyres, they were specially made for R15, having soft rubber and different raddi, complete tubeless providing 3 times better grip that Pulsar and about 2 times better that Karizma in my view.
Before riding this I loved Karizma, coz it was better than Pulsar, but those two feel to be pieces of srap of primitive machines when comapred to R15.
Dont check the speed and pickup. Ride it above 120 km/hr you will forget about the price and comparisons.
hmm.. thank you very much. usefull information
Its not so bad but it nothing if compare with YZF R 125…but its cool than V ixion….
